About the event
Join Ailihto Ceramics for a creative, educational, and social ceramics course at Dead Poets!
Ailihto Ceramics is run by the three girls Anna Finborud, Maja Lund Espersen, and Jenny Måreid. They want the ceramics course to be utilized as a meditative and relaxing activity. Ceramics aren't just fun and creative; it can also contribute to better mental health. Touch and handiwork produce chemicals in the body that make you feel happy and relaxed.
The course will be an introduction to ceramics, where you'll learn basic hand-building techniques. The instructors will first demonstrate how to make a cup or bowl using three techniques. Then, participants can choose what they want to create with guidance from the instructors. At the end of the course, there will be an opportunity to glaze the ceramics.
The course lasts from 14:00 to 17:00 (3 hours) and will be led by Anna Finborud, Maja Lund Espersen, and Jenny Måreid.
Once the ceramics are ready, you'll receive an email notifying you that you can pick them up; this may take up to a month.
All equipment and clay are included, so you only need to bring yourself. No prior experience is required to participate.
